The wine romantic hotel Richtershof is the epitome of wine culture. The former 17th century winery continues today as a four-star superior hotel. Numerous references, for example the naming of the rooms and vino therapies, bring the history into the present. Our employees also make a significant contribution to this. They dedicate themselves to the subject of wine with great passion and many years of expertise. Whether it's wine tasting or a voyage of discovery through the wine-growing regions, we will show you all the facets that Germany's oldest wine region has to offer. And you don't have to do without any amenities. Our romantic wine hotel has been restored and modernised with great attention to detail.

Wine cellar

The sober definition of a wine cellar as a storage room for wine literally takes on a strong note here. After all, the heart of our wine romantic hotel comprises a 1,700 square metre vaulted and pillared cellar dating back to 1881. If walls and wines could tell stories ... they would tell of the wine cultivation and wine trade of the Nießen and Ferdinand Richter families. Wine was still produced in the old cellars of the Richtershof until 2001. Nowadays, the Forum Vinum is based in the historic premises.

Forum Vinum

The historic vaulted and columned cellar from the 17th century is not only a testimony to the past. Stories of the 21st century are also being written here, stories that go far beyond the borders of the Moselle. The wine romantic hotel Richtershof hosts the Forum Vinum. In a permanent exhibition, our selected winegrowers present their fine wines to you and offer wine tastings. During the tastings you will learn details about wine production and regional specialities. Above all, however, you will get to know the people behind the precious products, which you can also purchase on site, in a relaxed atmosphere.
