In July, the banks of the Moselle in Traben-Trarbach are once again transformed into a lively festival grounds for a weekend. In addition to a top-notch music lineup ranging from rock to acoustic groove and a colorful family program, a very special experience awaits you here: the legendary “Unterwelt” wine tasting. On Friday and Sunday, you can take a guided tour to delve deep into the town’s historic, mystical wine cellars and taste fine wines right where they once aged.

A very special highlight on the festive summer calendar awaits you in August in the historic county of Veldenz: The traditional wine and local heritage festival invites you to enjoy a cozy get-together in this picturesque wine-growing village. Unfortunately, the traditional International Classic Car Rally will be on hiatus in 2027 and 2028 due to construction work. A total of seven local winemakers, along with guests from the French sister city of St. Florentin in Burgundy, open their farms and barns. One of the region’s largest and most beautiful wine festivals takes place over five days around the first Sunday in September. Highlights of the festival include the Coronation of the Mosella, the delightful Wine Route, the lively fairground, the colorful fireworks, and the traditional wine festival parade featuring countless floats and marching groups. An extensive supporting program—featuring a “Moselblümchen Meets Winzerkittel” evening, live music, and a wine-tasting evening—rounds out the festivities.
